Versa Whatsapp notifications mute

I am using FitBit to notify me on new whatsapp messages. There is a group chat with much activity which I have muted from the whatsapp app so I don't get notifications for it. The fitbit (Versa) however does notify me for each and every message on this muted chat.

Please fix this bug as currently I am forced to either exit the group chat or disable notifications on the fitbit Versa.

Please do. Its. Really annoying. I have a whatapp group  with alot of activity  I also have it muted on my phone  but it buzzes everytime  on my watch.

With the new whatsapp update, you can choose to not get notifications while muting groups. Uncheck the show notifications box when muting a group chat.

Hello,

Go to “Apps & Notifications.” Scroll through the list and tap WhatsApp, then tap “Notifications.” Turn off the specific type of notifications you want mute. You can also turn off “Show Notifications” to disable all WhatsApp notifications.
