Versa not receiving Ring doorbell app notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

All my other apps are sending my watch notifications except my Ring doorbell app.  I have it checked in the list of app notifications but it still won't go to my versa watch.  I think the Ring app updated last week and now for some reason I'm not getting notifications on my watch even though I'm still getting them on my phone and they are selected in the Fitbit app list.

So much this. My third versa died after a year, couple that with their lack of support and I'm out. I switched to a Garmin and everything is so much better.

A friend of mine dumped versa for Garmin and can't believe the difference. He'll never buy another fitbit either. My son has used an Amazfit Stratos for YEARS without a single problem, and other friends have used Garmin for at least as long...again, with no problems. For an extra $50, or in some cases, the exact same price, you can get a watch that actually works. Now, watch for this thread to be locked...LOL.

I wonder why the Ring notification setting remains within the Fitbit App if it's no longer supported?

It what you've said is true then Fitbit have got to get product sorted rather than sending their users on a wild goose chase!

Maybe it's not there anymore. I don't know because I threw my fitbit away in favor of an Amazfit, which works with every smart appliance I own, including Ring.

This is still an issue over 2 years since the original post.

First time Fitbit user and very sad.

It's very clear fitbit has no interest in fixing this issue. Do like the
rest of us and move onto a better smart watch.

Hi,   Unfortunately this did not work for me, but after scoring the internet again I found something to try on another site that may work for some.   You have to connect your Ring Doorbell to Alexa and then set up a routine in the Alexa app so that every time someone rings the door bell (or there is a movement notification - I haven't done this one) it send a notification to you via your phone and your Alexa devices, if you want it to. Doing it this way I've had Alexa notifications that someone is ringing the door, but unlike my old Gear Fit 2 I can't see a picture of who it is as the notification is coming from Alexa and not Ring.   Hope this helps some of you who are unable to link Ring to Fitbit.

Works 70% of time and not always in a timely fashion.

Fitbit and Ring dint have an agreement anymore I was told, which is why it doesn't work, even though it still shows up in the app section on Fitbit.

Try the Alexa routine way as above. Not great, but at least you sometimes get the notification. Hope that helps.

Looks like it's working again!  Maybe it was deactivated because of covid......

This is amazing news! I literally got the notification come through on my Fitbit this afternoon. Maybe it was also a combination of updating both apps... Either way I'm so glad it's happened!
