Versa won't pair with my Galaxy S8

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a galaxy S8 and the latest version of the Fitbit app, but now my phone does not recognize with bluetooth my versa. It did in May and wont now. I have tried everything. Turned off the versa, turned off bluetooth,  restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Nothing seems to be working. I did sync the versa to my computer and everything worked fine via my wifi.... help!

Welcome to the Forums @J6clarke.

Let me help you out! You did mention that it synced on May so it could be that the connection between the phone and the Fitbit could have been interrupted. Let's try to restart the connection itself by removing he Fitbit from your Bluetooth devices.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hey @J6clarke

Thanks for letting me know that you have tried what I suggested.

Do you have any other device that you could try to use to sync your Fitbit with? That could give us some insight into what is going on.

Look forward to your reply.

My issue started out with my versa failing to sync. It kept saying it could not find my tracker. I restarted my fitbit, restarted my phone, no success. I reset the bluetooth settings, tried turning the bluetooth off and on, and toggled airplane mode, nothing helped. I had my phone flashed in case it was a bluetooth failure in my phone. I factory reset my fitbit then my phone and now it won't connect to my app anymore. My phone connects with other bluetooth items and my fitbit will not connect with anything, my husband tried to connect with his phone, it can't find the tracker. This tracker was a gift 6 months ago so it's fairly new. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Forums @Sammiemantha and @Neudiver1.

Thanks for letting us know.

@Sammiemantha This might be happening because the LG V20 is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.

As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps with the syncing.

If none of the above works, you could try to use a computer or another mobile device to try and sync your Fitbit to your account. Click here to get instructions on how to sync with other devices.

@Neudiver1 please check if your phone is not included in the list above. In addition, please try to follow the steps listed in the links I shared above, they should also help if your phone is supported.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

My watch is doing the same thing with my Samsung 8.  I got mine for a Christmas present last year and it has been such a headache ever since.  Won't ever recognize my device..etc just like you said and when I tried to reinstall it today now it won't link up to it at all. Do you remember who you called to get a replacement?  That would just be awesome...  I will never buy fitbit again. This has been awful!  The support that I am working with just keeps sending me 101 articles that don't help me at all so I think I need to call.
