I would very much appreciate if your technicians would make the oppo r17 a compatible device for Fitbit. I just got a versa 2 weeks ago and it was working fine except that I wasn't able to modify some notification settings (I was able to do it when I set up my versa the first time).
I restarted my device and phone multiple times. I paired and unpaired the versa on Bluetooth, to no avail. I read a thread on the community that I should just delete the versa and add it back again. WORST MOVE EVER. I couldn't add my device back. So I came across another post which said to do a factory reset and start afresh. At this point, I was desperate. I did a factory reset. NOPE. Now the versa is in it's factory state and I can't add the device still!! I chatted with your support on Twitter and all they did was ask me to wait and check a link "time and again" to see when my oppo r17 is supported... Frankly this was ridiculous advice.
I really want to use my versa because I loved it when it work working. Now it's just $200 piece of junk. If there is no indication when I can use it with my oppo r17, I should return it immediately while I still can. Very disappointed and hope that something can be done soon.
P.s. I tried making a new account but the versa still wouldn't setup.

Welcome to the Forums @Momoxx.
I have moved this thread to the Android board as I think it is better suited for it. Thanks for sharing all of these details that you have already tried to get it to pair.
In this case I'd like to ask you if you are getting some sort of error message when you try to run the set up. If so, what does it say?
It is important to mention that the Oppo R17 Pro is currently part of our supported devices list. Could you confirm if you are using the regular R17 or the Pro version?
I look forward to your reply.

I am having the same issues. I had a different oppo model when I bought my versa a couple of months ago. It was not a supported model. So I contacted Fitbit directly via email to confirm which oppo phones were compatible before I purchased a new phone. I was told the r17 pro was compatible so I purchased one.
So problem setting it up. No problem with it connection to the versa or receiving notifications .. for approx 1month.. then the last 2 weeks it has been inconsistant in receiving notifications and then not receiving them at all.
I have turned both devices off and restarted, I have removed the app and reinstalled it. I have removed the device and tried to re add it.. won't do it.. but will on my old phone
The issue definitely seems to be an issue between the r17 pro and the versa.. but why? It was originally perfect!

Hello @Mum66.
Thanks for taking the time to share those details on the matter and listing all of the steps that you have tried to get it to work with your R17 Pro.
It could be that your phone bonded to the Fitbit and that connection was corrupted. Let's try starting from scratch. To do so, please try these steps:
That will get it working correctly and let you use your Fitbit as you were before this started happening.
Please keep me posted on how it goes or if you have any other questions.

Hi Mum66
After doing a bit of snooping on the Fitbit app reviews on google playstore, I think the problem we have is directly related to the latest update on 22 May. There are so many people that are facing the same issues as us... I hope Fitbit will either release a new update of the app soon or somehow revert back to the previous version of the app...

Hi Lanuza
I am using the regular Oppo r17. However, it seems like mum66 is using the pro and she's facing the same issues...
P.s. I didn't get any error message, the app just refreshes and I can't move on with the set up on my r17.

I have a 1 day old Versa and a new oppo R17 pro.
I couldn't initially setup on phone it would just refresh to Fitbit app but I set up on an old tablet to see if it was device or Fitbit. Now I've set it up but can't complete it to have notification etc with phone, just refreshes to main Fitbit app dashboard when I try. Gone through all the help pages, changing phone setting but now realising it's because I have R17 pro.
How can it be listed compatible but not? Would Fitbit take a return because its not the functionality I paid for?

It would make sense that an update has gone wrong.
Initially I was having no problems..
Now it's unusable..

Hello @Momoxx, and @Mum66. Welcome to the Forums @KitKat101.
Thank you all for trying the steps I recommended and sharing the situation you have experienced.
I'd like to ask you all some questions about your phone. Could you let me know what Android version is the phone running? Also, what app version is currently installed. This information could be very helpful to better understand what is going on.
I look forward to all of your replies on this.

Hi, I am having the same issue with OPPO R17 Pro and notifications... I had to set up my versa using an old device. Fitbit version is 2.94
Android is 8.1.0
Color OS V.5.2
When I initially went to turn On Notifications the options were as follows
Fitbit notification service: Forbid
Notification channel listener service: Allow
Service: Allow
Colour OS system launcher: forbid..
I turned Fitbit notification to allow and now it won't work, everytime I go into the setting it just refreshes to the dashboard . I am wondering if I needed to also turn on the color OS system launcher. Trouble is I can't get back in to the setting to do this. Thank you

Welcome to the Forums @Stregar. Hello @KitKat101.
Thanks for taking the time to share all of those details on the matter.
In this case I'd like to ask you to confirm if you have both gone through all of the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. If there are any steps you have not tried yet, please try going through all of them in the order that they show up. That will help so that the notifications start working.
Keep me posted on how it goes or if there are any other questions.

Hi @LanuzaFitbit ,
Thank you for your help, I have tried the trouble shooting. The problem is as soon as I go into the notification settings on the app the page is blank and refreshes to the dashboard...it does not allow me to select what notification s I would like.
Initially the notification settings would show the options I outlined in the previous message... Bit when I changed Fitbit notification from forbid to allow the notification settings page does nothing.

Hello @Stregar.
I apologize for the delay in my response. Thanks trying the steps that I recommended.
In this case I'd like for you to try to uninstall the app and then install it once again and try to access the notifications settings once again. That should help so that everything starts loading correctly.
Let me know if there are any other questions on the matter.
