I'm seeing a half dozen different answers to this question but never an answer that is current for 2023.
Where is that setting? On the phone app? In the phone's settings? On the device? And how to get to it?
The connection is eating my battery in mere hours. I want to turn it off and sync manually.

I'm a little confused, fitbit uses BTLE, your trackers BT should be going to sleep, until it receives a command to communicate.

@mata - as @Rich_Laue rightly points out, it may not be connection that is causing battery drain, there are many other reasons for it on the watch or phone.

The option to turn off always connected, was removed at least 6-7 years ago.
