Ok I'm not crazy....I walked on the treadmill 35 minutes and logged it by hand on my dashboard. It said I burned 145 calories, then it automatically uploaded the same exercise as a "walk" , same amount of time, but it says I burned 341 calories. That's a BIG difference, WHY?

I would delete what was enetered manually on the dashboard and keep what was uploaded by the fitbit.

Hey Karen,

I think where the difference is, the dashboard calculation does not take into account the average heartrate acheived during your walk. Then when your fitbit sync'd or uploaded the walk it was with the heartrate information giving a more accurate reading.

So then do I keep the walk rate, and delete the treadmill, cuz right now it's giving me credit for both. Thanks!

Thanks so much, I actually called fitbit and that's what they said to do. I really appreciate your help. 👍 Boy have I been cheating myself, for 4 months I have been entering manually, so I only gave myself about half my calories burned. I've lost 31 lbs so far, so I'm on my way!

Thanks so much! I am proud of myself. I have at least 40 lbs to go, but I'm just focusing on a pound at a time. My fitbit keeps me accountable, and that's definitely what I need. Thanks for your help!
