Hi just letting Fitbit users know that I was recently targeted by a fraudster through Fitbit. A man allegedly called Ryan James from Atlanta, USA messaged me stating that he was a UN orthopedic surgeon working in Kubal. Please do not answer/reply to this man as he is a fraudster who will stak you and try to steal your personal identity information as well as constantly pester you for money for months.

My perceived scammers goes by John H and Charles H. I didn't really think Charles H was a scam at first, but I've lost lots money to whatever game he's playing. These people are good.

@Memaw86 you gave money to a scammer? You call your local law enforcement agency to report it?

I wonder if Shane N & Ryan James have another alias. I reported another account with a different name. I got the same story. I let it play out a little longer with hangout and just blocked because of asking for money.

What can local law enforcement do about this? These people are in other countries I feel certain.

In last two day i got friend requires from females. They immediately started chatting and asked abut personal information like where do i belong, nationality, race, married / unmarried. They all ended up asking me about my phone number to have chat on whatsaap. I never gave my number. i suspected them as potential scammer as they are communicated to me in a same way. Two of them said they are in Iran deployed by USA military. They all have almost no activity on their fitbit but just 2 or 3 pics. One thing common i found in all those women that they had all boys in their friends. Just to warn you guys to be aware of scammers.

Totally sounds like a scam - there is so much of this. I get contacted every week by scammers - I just play along with them so I can get data to report them to Fitbit - play along until they ask you for money then you have evidence to report them.
But Fitbit really needs to do something about this! Its ridiculous

I believe Nick N is another one. He requested my hangout and I said no. He sent me his and found profile on Facebook and someone commented that it was a fake profile. I blocked him.

Me too, all the time friend requests from obvious scammers with stolen profile pictures and even the same stolen profile picture used several times under different names...!!! I have reported so many.

Friend requests from USA army, even majors, doctors, surgeons, lawyers, widowers with children... Members of all groups, bad orthography despite their prestigious studies. No daily steps... Just ignore or use bing or tineye to check out if their profile picture is stolen.

Yes that's what I do and I have found so many it's unbelievable and when I tell them they either block me or thank me for informing them that someone is using their image.🤣🤣🤣When I insist that they are using someone's image they become aggressive or they block me. I have received friend requests from the same profile picture from 4 or 5 different names.

Often the pics are Russian or eastern Europe, there are several image checks, Google, bing, tineye plus others use them all, that's what I do, surprising what I've found..

Hello I also have a very big concern about all the scammers that i have encountered, I've been scanning their pictures and confronting them about it and when I do they removed there pictures .but that doesn't mean anything. Because they can go ahead and replace the picture and can change the name on Fitbit. The names are Joshua Nicholas, Kenneth Hart, Herry Williams,.
