I bought my watch (Fitbit versa) last week, and every feature worked perfectly. I got my notifications (emails, calls, texts, etc.) My weather app worked well, and my watch would sync every hour or so. Now none of the features I listed above work and my watch will not sync for hours at a time. I have restarted the watch, attempted to sync my location to the weather app, turned off all notifications preferences and restarted both devices. I have done everything I can think of. I don't recall the app ever updating, but it very well could have. Could someone please offer me some help, I am very disappointed in Fitbit.

Thanks for trying all of those steps before posting in here.
In this case I'd recommend that you try to follow these troubleshooting steps to get both of them to work correctly. Do remember that in order for the Weather app to work properly the locations services in your phone must be turned on.
