Weight data history and trends not available after 4.30

ANSWERED

With the installation of this new update, why is all history being either deleted or not displayed? For example I am a 9-year Fitbit member and my weight data is no longer available prior to the last 2 years. I enjoy looking at trends seeing where I've been and where I am at. But this information is no longer displayed when changing time ranges.

I had an Aria scale since 2015. I was tracking weoght daily from that time. Now I can't find that weight history. Just got a new Aria Air and it syncs but none of the old dada is there. I would like to recover all of that history. Am I screwed or is it available somewhere?

I am experiencing the same issue it only goes back about 1 year

Same here, the "All time" view now only includes the past two years. Also, they took away the trend line. This doesn't look like a bug, but seems an intentional change. I am still able to see previously logged data by scrolling down and selecting previous years, but only able to view each year separately (Pixel 7a, app version 4.3).

Not very motivating to just see manually entered data points with no context or trend line.

@Rocco_ATL, I don't use the all-time. I took a look. It was empty with a tile for 2024. Click and it switch to year view. When I clicked on all-time, it added tiles for 2023 and 2022 with the graph showing data points for 2023 and 2024. When I clicked on 2022, it showed that year. Clicking on all-time extended data points for 2021 and 2022, as well as a tile for 2021.

Some users have issues with too much data causing issues with the app. Auto clearing may reduce the need to clear cache. There may also be compatibility issues with how the data is stored. In either case, it looks like the user can cause the data to repopulate.

I hope this helps and have a Terrific day!

Hello @Rocco_ATL & @kjvanmanen

There is a known issue on the Fitbit side that affects the weight & food pages. The team is aware of the issue and is working on a fix.

You might want to follow/post in this thread (<-- click link), where the Moderator will be posting updates on the issue.

Thanks @RiekoC,. I'm aware of the other issues affecting food/calories and weight. This is a new change that came along with the 4.30 update. It fixed the problem with the top of the weight tile being covered up, but the food tiles are still covered. The new weight tile has less info showing, no trend line, no BMI, no way to view all time data, just an average for each year.

I have weights logged back to 2016, used to see curves showing what had happened over time. Now I have 8 years showing with only 4 data points showing: start, max, min and end (today)

That thread seems to be about pixel and other google phones, I use a Samsung

Thank you!! After I manually went to each year under the "year" tab, they then populated on the "All time" timeline.

I found my weight history under "Manage Data" (on Android via Weight tile, then via menu in top right).

However I'm not happy that the Weight screen now shows average information - instead of actual weight and weights for previous weigh-ins including multiple weight-ins per day. I often have to weigh myself 3 or 4 times as my Aria fluctuates wildly!

Hello @LeeCornell

I think it's in that thread where the Moderator acknowledged that this issue is affecting other Android phones that have Android 15 on them. So, it's not just Pixel phones that are affected with this bug.

Nope, my "year" shows only average weight for each month. Went back six years. No change to "all time". Repeated with 3 months, month and week. No change. &$*% google.

I also lost history older than 2 years.    Data goes back to 2016, but is apparantly gone?

@RiekoC As I mentioned earlier, this is a different issue. This is NOT the bug affecting Pixel phones (I also am affected by that bug which is cutting off the top of the screen on several different tiles). This is the new weight display that was updated in v 4.30 of the app.

Hi everyone.

Thanks for reporting this issue with the weight data history not showing up on your Fitbit app. I understand how important this data is for you and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. To work on this together and make sure we've exhausted the possible steps, please confirm if you've tried the following:

  1. Go to your phone settings and tap Apps.
  2. Look for Fitbit, tap Storage > Clear Cache.
  3. Go back to one screen and tap Force Stop.
  4. Reboot your phone and open the Fitbit app one more time to check your data.

@RiekoC Thanks for your help!

Followed all the steps but this still does not fix the problem which is that we don't want to see one Average Weight, we want to see Actual Weights, including multiple weighings.
