Why is the weight trend line not removable in the fitbit app? What does it actually add in terms of usable data? To me, it obscures my actual weight data graph which actually has meaning and is something that i would like to see unhindered. Seems like this is a feature that should be implemented based on other suggestions. Why is fitbit avoiding this request which has been suggested by other users over the years?
Moderator edit: Subject for clarity.

@Nibbledorm Welcome to the forums. Thanks for reaching out regarding the weight graph on the Fitbit app and your feedback.
I will gladly explain what the weight trend line shows. As it name implies, it shows you your trend. What is that? The trend is how your weight has behaved throughout your measurements. It tries to represent your weight data as a smooth curve instead of a straight line graph. The trend shows you if you were actually on the path of losing or gaining weight, even though there were days were the weight measurement said otherwise. You need high amounts of data in order to see a meaningful trend. I recommend you take a look at this thread: What do weight tends mean?. Here you find a screenshot that shows you a nice trend line which gives you a smoother understanding of your weight behaviour in the time selected.
Have a nice day!

Thank you for the reply and the link. Now that I understand why the trend line exists, I now understand even less why the option to remove it does not exist. It seems that your intent is for people to weigh in on a daily basis for an extended period of time for the trend line to show anything meaningful, but what Fitbit doesn't seem to want to acknowledge is that for one, not everyone wants to view the trend line plain and simple and for another, people may weigh themselves on different schedules. For myself, I am currently weighing myself on a monthly basis and have had huge gaps in data entry during my weight loss journey. These gaps and lack of weight points on the graph seems to alter the data provided by the trend line. As the thread discusses, the trend line really only becomes effective once more data points are active meaning that new users won't really have a use for it. My trend line actually shows my weight exceeding my actual weight. I don't feel the data provided by the trend line is useful to my personal journey and I believe Fitbit should listen to user feedback stating that it should be optional graphical data. I feel that seeing the graph of my actual weight fluctuations unobstructed would be far more useful for my journey and based on the comments and suggestions of other users on the forum, others feel the same way. So why is Fitbit so adamantly unwilling to implement this option into the app?
@RodrigoMFitbit - I am still waiting for you to respond to my reply regarding your initial response to my post. Can you advise why Fitbit is so adamantly againt implementing a feature which makes the weight trend line optionally removable when this has been a request by multiple users? Please take the time to read the entirety of this reply before copy/pasting a scripted response.
