Whatsapp call notifications in Android (Charge HR)

Hi, I did my best trying to configure the Android's Fibit app to enable Whatsapp call notifications in  my Charge HR... unsuccesfully.

I had an iPhone 6 which was able to show Whatsapp call notifications, but now with my brand new Galaxy S7 I get only regular Telephone call notifications.

Therefore I'm wondering whether it is an Android limitation, solved properly in iOs, or it is needed a special configuration in Android in order to enable the Whatsapp call notifications.

Hi there @centomile, Its nice to have you here in the Fitbit Community.

Whatsapp call notification for Android are not available as it is with iOS. As you said earlier on your post, only regular call notifications from your phone will be received by Charge HR when you have Android. For trackers that support text notification, the option to configure Whatsapp is available, but only for text notifications.

Note that the Charge HR is not longer in the market so there are no more updates for this tracker, but If this is something in which you're interested, please visit our Feature Suggestion board and contribute with your feedback. This is a great way to let us us know what you'd like to see in the future of Fitbit.

Also I have moved your post from Third party to our Android board, since the topic is more relevant here.

Hope this information helps. I'l be around.

Hi @RobertoME

First saying I do appreciate your answer. Despite not the disappointing consequence

Fitbit may feel updating a device firmware no longer in market is pointless. But I, as a customer, cannot agree less… because it ends on my device having a “full” useful life for not more than 2-3 years.

I make & receive actually most telephone calls using Whatsapp. Android has 75% of Europe’s market share, iOs 15% aprox. Therefore, my device is no longer as useful as it was (it is actually a key feature in my daily life, so I could have in silence the phone all day long).

It means at the end that I will not trust anymore on Fitbit to treat me as I do expect (either Polar or Suunto by the way)… and in my next purchase I will consider other brands far more customer oriented.

Thanks again for your time! Sorry if I sound bitter 😉
