When are you going to fix the broken Workout Tracking problem?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since on or around Sept. 1, non of my workouts started on my device using the Workout Shortcut are saved on the app.  It was obviously broken by a s/w update around that time.  You know about this issue affecting may users, but after 3+ months there's no resolution or communication on the plan.

To provide as much clarity as possible, I use the Workout Shortcut on my watch, i.e. SPINNING, at the beginning of my spin class to start my workout.  Everything on the watch shows proper operation.  I end my workout on my watch and save it.  The workout does not show on the app under Excercise Activity, but data is recorded under Active Minutes, Hourly Activity, Energy Burned, Heart Rate, etc., so the watch is communicating properly with the app.  The problem, as it's been reported for months across many users and devices, is that exercise activity is not being updated any longer.   I'll note that Auto Recognized Activity is being recognized and recorded, but that doesn't address specific workout activity.

This is a basic function of your product, so I'm asking here one more time for a clear answer as to when this will be fixed?

Over 4-1/2 months since you broke this function, and almost a month since this specific post (after none of the numerous similar posts were properly addressed) and still not response.  What is the status of this major issue?

Instead of posting this to the community of fitbit users. We did not break it, we can not fix it. Sometimes we can make a suggestion to get around an issue.

This should have been posted in the Product Feedback board, politely

Moderators have been responding erroneously to this issue since mid last year.  Those responses repeat incorrect scripted steps that have been tried by many users regardless of the fact that this is a bug introduced by software around Sept. 1, 2024.  I've requested a status from moderators who incorrectly marked this as fixed when it clearly is not.  I've posted this feedback on the Google Playstore for the app.  The only thing I haven't done, which I know will be a frustrating experience, is go on the support page and start a chat with someone that will repeat the script to force close, reboot my phone, log out/in, uninstall/reinstall, etc., all of what has already been performed by myself and the many users experiencing this issue.  So, politely, the moderators and product reps on this forum should provide a correct response to myself and the numerous community users who are waiting for a proper update for a function that is the foundation of their existence, i.e. fitness tracking.

Thank you.
