When is Fitbit going to properly fix syncing/connecitivity issues for Android?

This is getting ridiculous.

For over a month, I have had non-stop issues with my Charge2 doing either of the following, randomly:

  • Not syncing to the Fitbit app on my Google Pixel XL2 (yes - supported device, supposedly)
  • Syncing for a few days and then stopping

I have done everything advised by Fitbit, on numerous attempts, and this is still happening.

Your reviews in the Google play store are full of people reporting the exact same thing. Your rating has plummeted to 3.5 stars.

People are angry and frustrated and fed up, and your canned replies "of we're so sorry... please do this, please contact us, etc" are not helping.

I should not have to restart my phone, unpair my device, re-pair my device, turn off my bluetooth, turn on my bluetooth, uninstall the app, then reinstall the app, etc, etc, etc. That is NOT a solution and it's absurd to assume it's a reasonable thing to ask of your millions of users, just to get your app to work for them - not just once but countless times every time YOUR app fails them.

What is Fitbit doing about this issue, and when can an actual fix be expected?

I so wish that a North American alternative of this product existed.
THe app is so unstable, bloated and always hounding me to buy their garbage via pop-up ads.
20% or less of my runs every get recorded and saved.
I've upgraded from a Samsung S4 to a Samsung S7Edge. The FitBit app stills holds the title of the most incompetently coded app. This is hands down the app i HATE the most on my phone. I question the validity of sleep stats and my Resting Heart Rate, alas, i have no alternative. I so regret every investing my time in this miserable product.

Hi,

you need to ensure that Fitbit app is fully running at the background as Android designed to kill the App to reduce the battery consumption.

I just put a post and describe that.

I had the problem with my android LG Tracfone. Would not update and kept nagging me to do it. What finally worked, is that I opened the app on my Samsung Tablet. Not really trying to update as I'd given up, I noticed when it asked me to update, the interface was just different enough it got me to try. within seconds i was logging in to my account and downloading the update. It took a full half hour to complete the process as the app said, but now the anddroid phone is happy, the fitbit is happy and i'm not majorly irked any more.
