Update: 7/13/17

 

For anyone still experiencing this app crash, it has now been resolved in the app version 2.53. Please update your Fitbit app to the latest version!

Same phone as mine, worked fine, now I have to uninstall app then install again everyday  just to see my stats, hope it's fixed soon.

Hello Aless at Fitbit,

Could you please give us an update on this App Crash 2.50???  It's been two weeks + since this issue was reported.  Have you found the root cause??  When will a fix be ready??

I have been asking for A refund and keep getting told..  Has to be returned with in 45 days of purchase and be purchased from the official fitbit on line store to be eligible for all refund.

ok well had enough of waiting for FITBIT to get off their arse into gear and fix it so downloaded and installed previous version from here.......

I've had enough of waiting for Fitbit so I contacted Oppo to see whether they could help.  This was their reply:

We understand that you are asking assistance regarding the issue you have with your OPPO R9s.

With reference to this, you may check settings on your device and check if this will help resolve the issue.

  1. Go to settings
  2. Battery
  3. Others
  4. Fitbit
  5. Ensure Freeze when in Background and automatically Optimise when an abnormally is detected is OFF.

Can also check the settings for Security center

  1. Go to Security Center
  2. Privacy permissions
  3. App permission management
  4. Fitbit
  5. Ensure all Settings is set to Allow

I've just followed those instructions and the app seems to work now. Hopefully it lasts!

Having exactly the same issue and am a new AIA Vitality member so it's a real bummer. I have to uninstall and reinstall every single day (numerous times) to sync. The sync with AIA has missed 2 days so I have had to email them with screenshots so hope they will credit me.  

 

Super annoying and seems like a lot of ppl have the same issue. They have to fix it. Hear us, Fitbit?! FIX IT!!!!

I've had this problem too with my Oppo F1S. Only had the Fitbit Alta HR two days and I have already had to uninstall and then reinstall the Fitbit app THREE times. It's the only way I can get it to work.  I am now trying just logging out of the app each time instead. I'll let you know if that works. 🙂

Been 4 wks for me now extreamly annoyed.  Fitbit and there customer care downright disgusting can't even give us the decent courtesy  of an update on if there making any progress in fixing this problem or give us the old version as an alternative until they sort this problem out.  Now it's affecting my steps recorded in challenges with friends very unhappy with fitbit ATM to say the least.

I know it is very annoying!! I have been emailing them every day asking
for update on timeline that it might be fixed. Sick of hearing how sorry
they are that I am unhappy with fitbit. All I want to hear is "problem is
fixed"

Bought my new pink Alta HR on Sunday and have to install app twice as I keep getting white screen on my oppo f1s.  Pretty disappointed actually.  For the investment you'd think it would work correctly.

 

Does anyone know how to fix?

Is there some way of installing the old version which worked until you fix
the new version up so we don't have to keep dealing with the frustrations
of installing uninstalling and losing steps.
