Widget gone after reinstall of fitbit app

The Fitbit widget is gone after I reinstalled the fitbit app. I removed the Fitbit app because I was having some problems with the lock screen and bluetooth turning off by itself. When I reinstalled the Fitbit app, the widget did not install (it is not in the list of widgets). Rebooting and reinstalling Fitbit app did not help.

Fitbit app version: 2.43 (2183094)

Hello @Maarten, good to see you again. Lets do the following to fix this issue. Log out from your Fitbit app. Go to your apps manager on your phone settings. Look for the Fitbit app and clear the data and clear the cache. Once you have done the previous steps, restart your phone and wait until it has loaded to log back in to your Fitbit account.

After this try to search the Widget and give it another try. Usually we do not recommend to uninstall the app since it may present other issues. This workaround only is for specific cases only.

Keep me posted how it goes. I'll be around if you need more help.

Unfortunately this did not solve the issue. I can still not find the widget in the list of widgets. It used to be between File Manager and the Google widgets.... O and btw Fitbit is again turning off my Bluetooth every night.

And even worse, my notifications are gone now. I get stuck on the following screen:

Notifications are enabled (see slider) but there is no way to get to the next screen which used to allow me to select encryption and a widget. Aargh. This used to work on my Android phone and now it is broken.

What's really annoying is that my fitbit charge HR worked well with my phone for the past year. Now:

* I often cannot get past the notification screen

* calls notifications don't work anymore

* widget is gone

* bluetooth keeps turning off

Only thing that has changed in the past year is that Fitbit went to higher version numbers (and my OS was updated a couple of times). Is there anyway I can revert back to the old Fitbit app to see if that still works?

Hello @Maarten, thank you for keep me posted and I'm sorry for not posting anything lately.

Down to your question to revert the version of the Fitbit app, note that this is not possible. Although new version of the app are recommendable for the stability of the same. So my recommendation is to maintain your Fitbit updated to the latest version which for Android devices is 2.46.

If the issue persists, I recommend to set your tracker as a new device on your existing account. For more details about this, the following post will guide you through. This will help you to address all the issues in case they persists.

Hope this helps.
