Will Fitbit app compatibility be updated?

I just got a Motorola Moto G4 4th gen today an am rather disappointed to find my Fitbit Charge 2 isn't compatible with it and won't sync. Are there any plans to update Fitbit to be compatible with new phones that aren't made by Samsung or Apple?! Many thanks.

@USAF-LarryAll of these issues just show we have come along way since I joined..

We now have this large Forum with its knockers and helpers. Years ago when we were talking weight I think it was you that advised me at my age keep your "safety" weight. I had my annual checkup last week and my doctor said the same thing..and . "your 77 now..go and enjoy life.. and there are too many fashionitus people out there with their heart monitors"... he was having a dig at my Fitbit....

@MirilyExcuse the divergence but it helps us keep a grip on things in the forum..

@Colinm39, remember that if the Fitbit tracker is connected to the Bluetooth on one device, it cannot connect to the Bluetooth to sync on another device - it will be shown as busy.

I think the iPhone was the problem!! It's still not actually finding my tracker but I just got it to sync twice!! The connecting symbol keeps flashing grey until it's synced then it goes green! Hopefully this sticks!

Thanks so much for all the help guys, I really appreciate it 😃

@MirilyI would unpair your iPhone and then Pair the Charge to your Motorola.

As I sit here in a lovely Melbourne Autumn morning heading to another 32oC day (90oF). We call it a late Summer in Autumn here.

@MirilyThanks for being so proactive.  Your patience working through this will help many others. When all of the features work for you, you have let the Fitbit world another phone NOT on the compatibility list works..

What version of Android is your phone using.?. This helps others as well.

I've been very glad of the help! 😃

It's 6.0.1 I believe it's Marshmallow!? I'm very new to it after being on iPhones for 5 years!

Not a musician, just a night owl!

@MirilyI'm on Version 7 with no issues with any App and Internet, even stability on the Connected GPS issues you maybe reading about on the Charge 2.  I won't enter into the calculations of distance but the tyacking plot was spot on.

A Couple of nights ago I had Connected GPS on the Blaze with my Chest Polar H7 concurrently linking to the phone measuring my Heart Rate Variability (HRV), and always Bluetoothing around is my Fitbit One on my waist. Just a possible interference.. But again no drop outs, loss of signal etc.

Rest well tonight...Smiley Happy
