Hello @Jessako, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! In this case the One Plus 5 is not listed as compatible, in this case we cannot guarantee the tracker will work as is expected. In some scenarios might work normally with no troubles and in some other occasions, may fail in certain features.
There are no details why this phone might not be compatible beyond the app is not optimized to work with this phone. However, it hasn't been declare as not compatible yet. If a device is not listed on fitbit.com/devices or the Incompatible devices list, this simply means we are not able to confirm its compatibility.
In the meantime as an alternative, I suggest setting up and syncing via a device listed as supported or using a computer.
