@Pnutty, are you saying that you want to set up a new Alta HR to replace an old Alta, using the Android app? If this is the case, remove the old Alta from the area, out of range of the phone running the app. Open the phone Settings, Bluetooth, and tell it to Forget the Fitbit devices. Then use the app Account screen to Set Up a Device, tell it to replace the old Alta with the Alta HR, and follow the on-screen instructions.

@Pnutty, if you are getting a message that you need a newer version of the Android app, but there is no new version available to you in the Google Play Store, that probably means that your phone's Operating System (OS) is too out of date. The current version of the Fitbit Android app is 2.57.3 -- you can open the app Account screen and select Help to determine what version you are running. Check your phone's OS version by opening the phone Settings and select About or Software to display what version you are running, and let us know.
