If it's not syncing with either device then it's likely to be an issue with the fitbit. I would try restarting it by:
- Open the battery door using the battery door tool and remove the battery.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Place the battery back into the tracker with the "+" side facing up, and close the door.
Hopefully that will kick it back into life.

If I reset my Fitbit will I lose the steps that haven’t synced yet?

Restarting a fitbit is safe. Fitbit say:
"Restarting your device turns it off and on without deleting any activity data. If your device saves notifications, a restart deletes them."

Awesome help @SteveH! 🙂 Welcome to the Forums @ghlover and @Maryrothacker! Thanks for sharing your experience with your Zip tracker. As @SteveH kindly suggested sometimes turning off and on your tracker might do the trick. And this, if done correctly shouldn't delete your steps.
If @SteveH's suggestions helped to resolve your issue, I'd like to invite you to mark his post as the solution. Marking posts as solutions is a great way of thanking another community member while also highlighting their solution so that it may be discovered more easily by other community member facing the same questions or issues as you. You can read more about Accepted Solutions here.
Keep me posted!
P.S. If you still have syncing difficulties, you can try the tips provided in the help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
