background sync not working on samsung galaxy s

I'm getting an error saying, "Background sync is off.. Background Sync is off by default. Turning it on may use more tracker and/or handset battery." It recongized my alta, buut i kept getting this error on my phone. It works fine on my samsung galaxy tab. Is there anyway to fix this?

I'm having the same problem, works great on my Samsung Galaxy tab a but now isn't working with my Samsung Galaxy note 7. I can send a test text through my tab A great but cannot receive anything through my cell phone.
