cannot sync and cannot pair after last update of android app

I stopped being able to sync after last upgrade of the android app.

Then I tried to remove the fitibit and pair again but I cannot do that either.

It times out on the fitbit app and if i try to pair using the Bluetooth settings it says "pairing rejected by flex".

Please advise

Forgot to say I have a Fitibit Flex
