charge 3 sync and now connection issues

Had issues getting my charge 3 to sync, so I went to fitbit help and nothing worked, so I went to forums and was advised to reconnect my fitbit to my phone which is not happening at all now.

 

I type in the code and it stays on "connecting..." for up to half an hour. Tried three times now.
