Larry,
I am running an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy III). After one long, drawn-out battle, I got the Charge 2 to connect and I think I am in love. The only thing I question is the calorie counter. It says I’m burning 4000+ calories a day and can eat about 1800 calories more than I am eating (I am now eating about 2100) and still lose weight. If that were true, I wouldn’t have felt the need to look for fitness help.
Anyhow, these are the steps I had to take to get it to work.
1. Backed up everything on my phone.
2. Reset phone to the default configuration.
3. Re-updated everything on the phone including the OS.
4. Checked to ensure the fitbit app and OS were up to date (phone and google-play said yes, I determined the answer was no as there were more recent versions mentioned on the net).
5. Downloaded Samsung Kies software to my computer from Samsung website.
6. Install Kies on my computer.
7. Force the phone OS to update to the most current version using Kies.
8. Re-updated fitbit app from google play.
9. Try everything.Works. Yeah! Go to bed, its midnight.
