@Comnection welcome to the Fitbit family! Let's find a solution for it! I suggest trying the restart process a couple of times and then try to re pair your Alta again. To restart please follow these steps:
Also, make sure that your Android device is compatible with the Fitbit app by clicking here. Then try the set up process once again by doing this:

That seemed to solve my problem of connectivity as well. Thank you!! I didn't even notice the button on the charger cord of the Alta. I had already tried reloading the software, changing my password, and didn't know how to reset it. The phone Bluetooth would not discover it after deleting it until it was reset.

In order for your tracker to properly sync with your Android device, it has to meet certain requirements (mostly Bluetooth and other connectivity criteria). Make sure that your Android device is in the list of supported mobile devices here.
