Compatibility with Samsung Galaxy s8

My charge 2 seems to be having an issue pairing with my new Galaxy s8. Is it just not one of the compatible devices yet or what? Because it's really frustrating to have to sync to my old phone because it won't pair to this one. Anyone have any advice?

Good to see here @Francl27. I was reading you were experiencing the same described on this thread.

The Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ has been added to our official supported devices list. However there are still a few things being worked out to make sure all the features and other functions are compatible, so some users might still have issues with the pairing process or with notifications. Please give our troubleshooting tips a try if that is the case and if I got more updates I will let you know.

See you around and thank  you for your patience.

Hello @anacristinaps, good to see you again in the Fitbit Community!

Note the Bluetooth settings are separate to received notification on your tracker. You need to enable this feature directly from the Fitbit app. For more details, please take a look at this post.

If you have enable this feature and yet you are not receiving notifications, please give it a try to the troubleshooting steps: My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app).

Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ has been added to our official supported devices list. Thanks so much for your patience while our team tested this out for you all. There are still some kinks being worked out, so some users might still have issues with the pairing process or with notifications. Please give our troubleshooting tips a try if that is the case.

See you until the next time.

I have tried everything I know to make the notifications work.  When I go to Samsung S8 bluetooth to try and pair the Blaze, the message appears "Blaze rejected pairing:. Now what do I do, please help.

@dellis, why are you trying to pair the Blaze? This is the job of the app.

Did you ever get yours to work? I've tried many times to get mine to pair but no luck. It will pair with the Blaze Classic but not the Blaze. Can't get it to sync daily data, receive notifications, etc. Super frustrating. The fitbit should be renamed the iPhone fitness tracker.

The fix for mine was to set those apps in your notifications as default on the phone. Also make sure location is turned on in the actual Fitbit app. My notifications now work great. Sorry if this does not help you.

I went to applications on the phone like your email app and you have to select them as default, this corrected my problem and all my notifications come thru on my Blaze

I've been trying to follow the troubleshooting presented in the thread but still no luck. Did you only have to add the apps as default? Was this done directly on the Apps section of the phone?
