Welcome aboard @SunsetRunner! I'm very happy to hear that you will start using the Fitbit Alta, I'm sure you will enjoy it very much.
I wanted to ask you, which phone model do you have? Have you checked if your phone is a supported syncing device? Have you tried setting up and sync your tracker using a computer or any other mobile device?

I had a hard time setting it up, but someone with support was helping with
it until we got disconnected, but she helped me enough that I got it
uploaded on my computer and then synced it to my phone. I love the new
Alta. The only thing is I have the alarm set to go off ever Hr. but I don't
feel the buzzing.

I appreciate your reply @SunsetRunner. I'm glad you are now able to use your Alta and sync your data. In regard to the alarm not buzzing, have you checked if the alarm you set up is enabled? You can check this on your Alta's settings page and you should see the button green under the "Reminders to move" section.
Let me know if you have any other updates.
