my zip stopped syncing about an hour ago

I have a fitbit zip, I've had it for about a month or so. Everything was working fine with it until about an hour ago.  It won't sync anymore.  When I try to sync sometimes it gives an error, other times it does nothing  but doesn't update my steps.  I've had about 500 more since it last synced.

I have a galaxy 6 phone and have just updated to the newest version of the app.  Also tried restarting my phone.

Just checked again, and now its working.  I didn't do anything, but it logged me out and made me log back in.  Still didn't work, and then I got the reset/connect/whatever it is the bluetooth message, did that, and now it works.

I'm going to keep a close eye on it. I don't trust it now.

Hello @Trisha2766 good to see again and welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community @Kellyjo1127.

I was reading your posts @Trisha2766 and I'm glad to see you are able to sync again. What about you @Kellyjo1127, is the issue still persisting?

Perhaps the following post will give you an additional help to address the syncing issues in case it persists: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).

See you around and take care. Let me know if you need more help!

It's still going out now and then.  For example, on the main screen where there's the big circle with the steps, then 3 smaller ones below it - sometimes the steps one just goes away for a few seconds.  And sometimes the bluetooth error message pops up.  And sometimes it looks like it is syncing, but then doesn't update the steps.

I'll check the link you suggested.

Hello. My fit bit seems to be ok now. There are times it doesn't sync properly but that probably has more to do with the bad Wi-Fi connection at work. I will keep a close eye on it.

Hello @Trisha2766 and @Kellyjo1127. Indeed, one of the reason when the syncing process fails is related to the internet signal, since it depends on how strong is to update your Dashboard information.

Also if your Android device is managing multiple Bluetooth connections simultaneously:

Your Fitbit tracker might stop syncing or you can experience interruptions with any consistently streaming Bluetooth connection such as headsets, car kits, stereo audio, tethering, and file transfers.

Stay tuned to the Fitbit Community and for anything else you can find me here.
