From the posts it looks like the "no network connection" message is related to time sync issues. I am a pilot and I comstantly jump time zones, several time a day, eastboud then westbound. But cant relate the problem to time issues. In my case it is impossible to sync if I am not connected to a network, either wifi or 2g/3g/4g. As long as I am connected, it syncs fine. as soon as I cut wifi or mobile data, it stops synching and I get the no network connection message.

@Angleofattack That's expected behavior as syncing can only be done when on a healthy, active internet connection.

I was traveling out of the US without internet access. I could not change the time on the fitbit with the android app. This is a BAD design. I am connected to the fitbit with bluetooth. Why can't it set the time correctly without a network connection? What data is stored in the app on the phone and what data is being stored at your servers? All i want to do is change the time zone. I can do this with a $10 watch!!!! Not everyone has data access when traveling as it costs a great deal for international cellular data.
