I have an older Samsung Galaxy Avant and it appears that is not compatible with the new fitbits. Any advice?

Hello @tracy62, good to see you have joined the Fitbit Community! The inconvenience with older phone is that at certain point the manufacturer stop proving support and does not longer release future updates for the phone OS can support apps that are constantly receiving updates and improvements.
In case of your phone I'm not sure winch version of Android OS is running but I can assume is happening a similar scenario, reason why does not support the Fitbit app. There are other things in play too when we are speaking about compatibility. As an alternative I can suggest setting up and syncing via a device listed as supported or using a computer.
Hope this information helps. For more questions stay tuned to our Fitbit Community!
