Hi everyone,
Thanks for stopping by the Community to report this error with Friend Requests in the Fitbit for Android app.
I'll be escalating the issue to our app developers for investigation.
Please stay tuned for more information or updates.

Alright, so the problem first came to light in this community in 2019. Now on the verge of 2021, there's still no answer?!
Give those code monkeys a decent kick in the butt and get them to debug! I pay enough money each month to have a working app I can share with friends..
I'm having the same problem. The service from them when you ask a question is slow so if you can let me know if you get a response please x

This doesnt help. Ive tried using the user name to search and still get error message. This needs to be fixed.
I think it's the search option that is not working. Not the invite option, unless we're just using two different terms for the same thing? Either way, it is still not working.

Same here when I click on a notification someone wants to be friends page is blank, can't accept or decline. If I try to send one get Failed To Send Friend Request error message. I posted a question on forum will probably get moved have not had any luck getting answers there. I either get response from moderator that doesn't help or no response at all. Any insight is appreciated. Would like to make friends in sleep category hasn't worked once.
Can't use email while on community feed blog don't have it. Would like to send invite occasionally to someone in sleep forum and be able to accept invite when I open friend notifications page is blank can't accept or decline.
That's same error message I get when I try by user name. Can't get any answers or help.

Best AnswerThe person I was trying to add showed me as friend on his end but not on mine. He removed me on his then an email popped up on his end with friend invite he accepted and we both showed. Might be a sync issue we both got off wifi after first couple attempts. Mine was completely locked couldn't add friends. Once it synced I had several friend invites pop through. Get off wifi, refresh log in manual the dashboard login and login on fitbit.com different they seem to be different. Very frustrating can't get customer service or support from fitbit. This is another example I couldn't reply back had to login 3 times different places before reply was enabled.
Best AnswerIt's been a year and 2 months. Clearly they are not going to resolve it. They have no support. Have the features don't work. Fitbit boasts community and challenges festures yet you can't even add your friends. Disgraceful.
For the record I have tried everything and I get the error.

Best AnswerNo fitbit does not have technical support. Community moderators post generic answers if any at all. Customer service and the developers email on the app at google play have both been shut down. The only way to possibly get a response is to post on one of their Facebook ads then they will ask you for your 8 digit case number knowing you can't get one on your own. Then they will ask you to pm your email and send you a couple more generic articles which lists everything you've already tried. Screenshot it and post under their comment so everyone can see then you might get a case number assigned to you. Horrible customer service sold millions and don't support their products.
