There are solved topic https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/RESOLVED-06-16-2018-quot-Notification-service-not-runnin...

I have 2.76 and same problem is there again.

What did you do after 2.73, why the problem isnt solved?

Fitbit keep asking all the time to restart the phone. I did turn off all notifications and still it keep nagging about it.

Could you fix it again?

Hello @Hobi.

I'd like to take a closer look at what is going on as there are other users reporting similar issues. Could you answer a couple of questions? I will help me better understand what is going on:

  • What Fitbit app version are you running?
  • What Android version is your phone on?

In the meantime please try following all of the steps in this article in the order that they show up. That should help you get your notifications.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I have Android Marshmallow on my LG.

I dont know where i can see the version in Fitbit app, but i always use the version you upload to Google Play.

Everything else is working fine with my Fitbit. Only my bracelet did brake after one year of use. It should last longer than that  and it was unfixable.

Hello @Hobi.

Thanks for letting me know.

I have one additional question, what LG phone is it that you are using?

Also, did you try going through all of the steps I linked to above?

Look forward to your reply.

Hi,

I did all those steps in that article and it fix the problem. Just like the rebooting does fix it.

It means that the problem stay away for awhile and then come back again.

My phone is LG G4.

Hello @Hobi.

This might be happening because the LG G4 is not currently on the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone and thus some issues might happen.

There is chance that it can work as long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, however we cannot guarantee that it will. This could explain why the issues comes back after it is resolved for a short amount of time. I'd recommend that you continue to go through the steps every time it comes back.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hello @SunsetRunner.

Thanks for trying to reboot it before posting in here.

As mentioned above, this seems to be happening because that phone is not in the supported devices list

In this case I'd recommend that you try to following all of the steps in this help article. Some users have mentioned that following those steps has helped them sync with their phones that aren't on the list.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Welcome to the Forums @BitFitXero.

Thanks for trying all of those steps before posting in here.

At this moment we do not have any news of when that phone will be added to the list, if at all. Maybe you could post about it in our Feature Suggestions board? That way you can have other users commenting and voting on the idea to show their support. You can also read the FAQ if you have any questions on the way that board works.

Hello,

I have the same issue. Latest version of the app an using a Huawei P20 Pro phone. I checked that "supported devices" list but it seems the the newest one on that list is 3-4 years old. So there is no support fir newer phones? That makes this device so much less useful...

Welcome to the Forums @Nykcu.

There are newer phones that have been added to the list recently so I can confirm that there are more phones being added to the list. Unfortunately we do not have any details of when we can expect the P20 to be added to the list.

We do have this suggestion about adding the P20 to the supported devices list, maybe you could vote for it or comment on it to show your support. Be sure to read the FAQ if you have any questions on how that board works.

Since the last MIUI 10.2.1 update v2.84 of the Fitbit app seems to work properly with my Versa. I'm getting consistent notifications and no notification server errors. 🤞

I've got the app locked, granted all permissions and set battery saver to 'no restrictions'

I've got a Redmi Note 5.

Unsupported ok, but it worked before.

I think I know what the problem is.

My company uses an EMM (Enterprise mobility management) system which is blocking messages /notifications.

If i reset my phone it works, as soon as I add my phone to  the company i receive policy which will block notifications.

Hello @Mamamegs and @SunsetRunner.

I apologize for the delay in my response.

@Mamamegs Thanks for that update. Glad to read that it is working. You can continue to wear the Fitbit like you want.

@SunsetRunner That is very interesting. As for why it was working before and not now, it could be that an update on the phone or the app caused further compatibility issues which led to the Fitbit to not be able to connect properly.

Be sure to visit our Discussion boards if you have the time. Maybe there will be a topic that you'll want to participate in.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
