unable to manual register activity

I went to the gym today and non of the activity was automaticly tracked.

I wanted to add an activity manualy. So I went to activity in the app, clicked on the icon in the right up corner and selected the second option in dutch "vorige invoeren"

There I can fill in some stuff like Type of acitivity, starting time, duration time and calories burned.
I can fill in starting time, I can fill in duration time. But I can't fill in a type of training or my calories burned.

The magnifying glass icon doesn't do anything. It doens't matter what I type there, dutch or english it just does nothing and when I press to button to add (the large pinky one) it says: "Fill in a valid distance"

Even if I type something in both fields, I get that message. I don't know what to do anymore.

Using a Samsung Galaxy Xcover pro enterprise phone, and yes everything is updated.

Thanks for stopping by, @SunsetRunner.

I appreciate the details about the activity log and for providing a screenshot. Is this happening with any type of exercise that you try to log? On the screenshot I can see that you typed "fitness" and that option is not on the list of activities. When you try to log an activity that is not on the list of exercises, you'll see the message "Please enter an activity type." So if you want to log an activity that is not listed on the Fitbit app, you can create it on your online dashboard at fitbit.com by clicking on Log > Activity > Log Activities.

Catch you later.

Yes, I tried several terms including the most used one "wandelen" (walking). "Wandelen" IS an activity at my versa3 AND in the app I also see the dutch term "wandelen", I tried also walking (thought maybe a translation issue) but also not. And I can't search for an activity either.

I could use the "work-out" activity for the one I want to register, that is IN the smartwatch, but still I can't manually register "work-out" in the app.

I can use the online dashboard, I found how to add a new activity, gladly that worked! But that doesn't fix the problem. I should be able to register a work-out that is on my smartwatch in the app manually. I can't register an activity on the dashboard without making a new one, because then I can't add calories.
