what is peak?

I see that I regularly have 20 minutes Peak, but I know I haven't done anything different during those times

Fitbit define peak as:

 

"Peak zone, which means your heart rate is greater than 85% of maximum, is the high-intensity exercise zone. The peak zone is for short intense sessions that improve performance and speed."

I find that on long hikes I can get some peak minutes without expecting to.
