Aria 2 body fat not accurate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So I gained the Aria Scale 2 as a gift. I just tested it today and the body fat percentage is way off. It said I’ve 5% body fat but that is absolutely not right. I do have a lot of muscle, I am 5’2 and weight 148 pounds, however my body fat percentage isn’t 5%. What should I do?

thank you!

Hi @jufloresc. Welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry for my delayed response and let me help you with your Aria 2.

Before anything else, I'll need you to make sure of the following:

  • You are standing still on your scale with dry and bare feet.
  • The scale surface isn't wet or foggy. You can wipe down the surface with a damp cloth.
  • The scale is also placed on a hard-flat surface and not on carpets.

If those conditions are met, give a try to the steps that are described below:

  1. Restart your Aria 2 by removing all the batteries for 15 seconds and inserting them back.
  2. Then go to your fitbit.com dashboard and login.
  3. Click on the gear icon and then on "Aria 2" from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click on People > your name and verify the body type is on "Regular".
  5. Then weigh once on the scale and switch the body type to "Lean".
  6. Weigh 4 times consecutively to calibrate the scale. The scale should then recognized you and save your readings.

Keep me posted about the outcome!
