I read some accepted answers here but there seems to be a theme of overstated BMI. My BMi cannot be 37.1%. I am 140lbs/5'3" 57 years old. It is just under 25% by all other measures. My 58 y.o. husband who has not changed weight outside of a 5lb range over the last 15 years ... he's 6'0" and 160 and his BMi measures 31 on aria 2. It should be around 21. Do I have a faulty aria 2?

Hello @wildlin and a warm welcome. I am hoping you can clarify some information. I think you are confusing BMI and percent body fat. BMI is a relationship between height and weight. There is no "%" when talking about BMI.
Someone who is 5'3"/140 lbs has a calculated BMI of about 24.8. Someone who is 6'0"/160 lbs has a calculated BMI of about 21.7. This is different from the percent body fat that is estimated using the bioimpedance (small electrical current). When you step on the scale, does it say 140, then 37.1%, then 24.8? The scale gives weight, then percent body fat, then BMI.
Is this what you see? I think we can help you figure out if you have a scale problem with a little more information.
