Aria 2 lean mode inquiry

Hi, I was hoping to get some input about whether I should be using Lean Mode or Regular Mode on my Aria 2.

I'm currently 5'3" and 110 lbs. I do ballet 4 days a week for about 3 hours per day, plus pilates Reformer classes once or twice a week, plus weight training. I'm not a professional, but I take my training pretty seriously.

I currently have it set to Lean Mode, but I was seeing posts here that that mode is only for marathon runners or body builders. It currently is giving me readings that range from 18% to 21%. Thoughts?

Hello @bmas and a warm welcome.  I did some quick math and I calculate your BMI to be about 19.5.  That's pretty darn lean by anyone's definition.  if you were six pounds lighter, you would be considered underweight.

There are many body types with different fat distribution.  Scales like the Aria 2 send the current up one leg and down the other.  There can be simple error if someone carries more body fat on their legs compared to their upper body.

I recommend doing an internet search that shows photographs of women with different percent body fat.  Do you look like someone with 18-21% body fat?  I bet you look leaner.
