I replaced the batteries in my fitbit Aria 2 and it wouldn't turn back on. After fiddling with the batteries for a couple days I finally got the scale to turn back on. Now it keeps showing the fitbit logo, then the squares come up like its trying to read my weight and after 30 sec it says error 6.
I have tried to stand on the scale, hold the scale off the floor, remove the batteries and try again but the result is the same. Error 6. I was enjoying the scale prior to this, but it seems like multiple users have had similar issues with batteries and error codes.

Error 6 means:
"Make sure your scale is on a flat, even surface. When you see an arrow on your scale, it means your weight was unbalanced and you need to move in the direction of the arrow. Weigh yourself again."

Thanks for the response Steve. I tried moving the scale from tile to hard wood and had the same result. It looks like my scale is stuck in a loop, it tries to sense weight when nothing is on it. I have taken the batteries out, waited 45 seconds and put them back in and the scale still shows error code 6 after 30 seconds or so. I have even held it off the ground while it was trying to record a weight and it still showed error code 6.

It looks like your weight wasn't centered on the scale, according to this article.

Thank you for responding DramaQueenDiva,
Even when there was no weight on the scale it would continually try to sense weight and give me error code 6.
I finally called customer service and they were able to help me get my scale working again. Customer service had me remove all batteries from the scale for 30 seconds and begin holding the button in the battery compartment. After holding the button for 5 seconds I began to place the batteries back into the scale while continuing to hold down the button in the battery compartment. Once all batteries were in the device, with the button pressed, turned the scale over so I could see the screen. Once I saw the fitbit logo on the screen I released the button, the logo remained for about 20 seconds before a loading bar appeared. Once the loading bar reached 100% I was able to setup my scale as a new device and it has been working ever since.
