Aria Air functions feedback

The Aira Air scale shows many other functions at the top but I cannot access them, also I do not like that the fat percentage is not recorded in the lists of weights. That you have to go into each one to see. Is this a cheaper model then the Aria? After about 8 years my aria died and I just replaced it with Aria Air and I do not like it. I do not like that you have to have your phone there to save your weight otherwise it doesn’t save. Not a great function. It was easier to set up but is very limited.

The Aria Air does not measure body fat percentage.

I don't know what the functions that you say you cannot access are.  Care to elaborate?

I have this same question, at the top of the scale display I see several symbols/abbreviations: wifi symbol, bluetooth symbol, page icon, BMI, ft, cm. None of them have ever lit up to indicate anything, and I don't know how to switch them to do so, as the button on the back only switches the weight unit. If they don't do anything that's fine, but then I don't know why they're there in the first place.

Thank you, you explained it better then I could!

I think Fitbit uses the same basic display for all models of Aria scales but not all are relevant.  For example Aria Air uses bluetooth, while the other models use wi-fi.  But I don't think any of them actually light up.  Maybe just in the design so if wanted them in the future.  Or maybe same standard display design as other brands that have you set initial height on scale itself instead of on another app, and maybe of set option to use wifi or bluetooth.

But they are of no concern and are not malfunctioning.

As far as I know, the difference between Aria Air and other models is Air does not measure body fat %, and it uses bluetooth instead of wifi which means you need your phone nearer, but also eliminates some potential problems with wifi setup.  Both of these I expect helped to make it a lower priced model.

But BMI is listed as one of Air's features: "Get a more complete picture of your health with Fitbit Aria Air™, an easy-to-use smart scale that displays your weight and syncs it to the Fitbit app where you can view BMI, track trends over time and more."

That's straight from the Fitbit website. How can we view BMI if it's not showing on the scale or on the app when weight is saved.

@KaylaP11   You can see BMI in the app.  On phone app, tap the weight tile.  Weight is graphed on tap.  Scroll that graph right to see lean and fat mass; scroll right again t see plot of BMI.
