My aria scale stopped working.  Only thinking...err.  I see that many many many have experienced this.  When I tried to use the steps advised,it messed up the whole WiFi networking my home and I ended up paying. $399, to a te h guy to come fix my WiFi.  WiFi works, scale still does not work, have followed all steps so many times...still err.

I am obviously not purchasing another aria scale.  Why oh why is it such a problem.  People posted same complaints over a year ago.  About to toss the scale since it has cost me an additional 399.  Any ideas?

@NYpetunia It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear about the setup difficulties that you've experienced with your Aria scale. I appreciate the time you took in order to troubleshoot this issue.

In order to assist you accordingly, please let me know the following details: Does the issue appear as "WiFi ERR" or "Sensing Thinking ERR"? What is the make and model of your router? Is your router running the protocol 802.11b, bandwidth 2.4GHz? Is your WiFi password alphanumerical?

Looking forward to your response! Smiley Happy

Sensing thinking err
I cannot and will not change anything to do with my router as that has already caused me 400 in tech support
We have a network, the scale-worked fine for a long time. It is connected to my WiFi
The problem occurred when I went through the set up steps after scale stopped working.

@NYpetunia Thank you for getting back and I'm sorry for the late response! I'm sorry for the late response.

I understand that you don't want to change your router settings. However, the scale works with protocol 802.11b and mixed mode (b,g,n) only. You can contact your Internet service provider so they can tell you and change the protocol if they have a toll free number.

As a side note, please let me know what is the make and model of your router.

See you later!

You will soon be getting a message that they are taking down your post because it mentions legal action, which happened to me. I am so disappointed by Fitbit, I really thought it was a cool company. Now they are suppressing criticism and not standing behind their products.

Hi NYpetunia,

I'm one of those many people who experienced the same problem. I decided to buy a new scale but not the Aria 2. I was surprised to find an even better scale that cost way less. I wrote a post about it here

and I’m telling everyone on every thread that I read about this problem because Fitbit is acting like they don’t care and I know that people are getting frustrated. Good luck NYp
