Aria not connecting to my WiFi network

I have a white Generation 1 Aria scale, which I bought from Amazon February 2015.  It is employing version 35 of the software (V35).  I access it through the latest version of the Fitbit app for Android.

In January 2018, the scale stopped measuring body fat ("BF?" error), and in Feb 2018 stopped connecting to my wifi, which had not changed.

I deleted it from my device list (after failing to get a connection), and then tried setting it up as a new device and connecting it through various configurations.  Nothing is working.

Good luck.

Fitbit customer service is useless.

I keep getting the "WIFI ERR" message too, it is driving me crazy!

I won't buy another one. It does the weight and loads that but not the fat %.  To be honest sometimes I think that is way off. I have lost 17 lbs and it has not gone down.

@whansen80238 It's great to see you in the Fitbit Community! Have you made changes to your network (router, router settings or WiFi password)? Are you getting any error message while your scale tries to sync your data?

@RickLEF @LaMarchand I appreciate your feedback and comments.

@tatert0t Thanks for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! If you are getting a "WiFi ERR" message, I would like you to know what is the brand, make and model of your router.

My scale is still not synching. We have not changed anything with our router. We did upgrade about 3 or 4 months ago, but it was working fine after that and is now not working. So frustrating! Any ideas for troubleshooting? Oddly enough, I love the fitbit concept, but the product is really not up to par.

@whansen80238 Thank you for getting back! Please make sure that your router runs the protocol 802.11b or b/g/n. Also, check if it runs the bandwidth 2.4GHz. Finally, let me know what is the brand of your router. This info will help me to provide the correct solution.

It doesn't matter what your router is... these are just Fitbit stall tactics.

They figure you the customer will eventually go away.

Same "err wifi" when trying to setup.

Most frustrating scale ever used.

Will attempt to hack the piece of s**t when i have some spare time, shouldn't be too hard judging from the Fitbit general build quality.

I gave up long ago.

The Aria I is nothing more than a cheesy digital scale at this point.
