Hi
I just bought both 3 x Fitbit Charge HR´s and the Aria scale in the US and was able to connect without any problems in the US. I am now in Iceland and unable to connect the Aria to my Wifi. What I did was :
What happens then is it hangs on "connecting" for a while before displaying the message "Setup did not complete".
I have verified that my router supports the 802.11b standard so it should be able to work with the Aria.
What could be the problem ?

Does your home wifi router use a password, and if so, does that password include special characters (like some of the crazy letters you have in Icelandic)? I seem to remember the Aria only accepts passwords that contain "standard" characters. There could also be a limitation related to the length of the password (not sure about that one).

Hi Dominique
My wifi does have a password but I never get to the point of being asked for the password. When I connected in the US, I remember putting in the password, but like I said, I never get that far this time. It just hangs on "connecting" and then goes to "setup did not complete".

Maybe your Aria and your home router do not "like" each other, even though they are supposed to be compatible on paper.
You said your router supports 802.11b, but is it actually enabled? For instance, the configuration interface for my own router has three possible values for "wireless mode": 1) "Auto", 2) "N only", 3) "Legacy". If I had selected "N only", it would not work with the Aria.
You are not using a repeater, are you? The Aria cannot connect to repeaters.

As far as I can see , the router supports both 802.11b and the n standard and it should choose automatically. But I think you are right that the problem lies with the router somehow. Maybe I need to manually open a port for the Aria. Im gonna try that and see how that goes.

Ef þú ert með technicolor router frá símanum þá er það ástæðan fyrir þessu.
