Ongoing issues with setup and Orbi Wireless. I AM CONNECTING TO 2G Network, NOT 5G.
I can get it to setup if i completely delete and readd. I can see on the Router software it is connected to the 2G network, and I have added the MAC address to the Routers approved list.
THIS scale will connect and record ONE WEIGHT, then drop. Weight recorded shows on app. I am the only user. After that ONE WEIGHT recorded, the Aria I drops off the network. Maddening.
I AM FED UP with this product, it has been a nightmare since day one, and still no fixes. If this is a dead product, tell me so and I will make a decision either to junk it, fiddle with it myself or just manually log weights.

It is sad to see that I am not the only person who regrets buying this very expensive but very useless scale. The support department really can't help because the product is not built to last.

Regret:
i MAY have a workaround for the Orbi/Aria I issue i posted. currently testing.
1. Set up a guest network with a secure password
2. Set up Aria I (yet again) to this network ONLY.
3. Should sync and weights show on scale as uploaded, on app and on dashboard.
If you decide to try this workaround...please post your outcomes. If it doesnt work, i need to know and i will pull this workaround.

Didn't work. I think I definitely have a lemon Aria scale.

Regret:
So sorry. It stopped working for me and then kicked back in. I will ride it out until no longer syncing again and then trash it. I do see where Aria I uses an 802.11b connection; and I do believe that is where all the issues began.
Saddest part? I bought a SECOND one. And of course, same issues.
One last comment:
802.11b was EARLY wireless, and it had a short range. I have already seen if i move the Aria1 too far from main router OR the satellites? It loses the connection.
This is, by no means a fix or an excuse; but instead a possible way to get these **ahem**edable scales to at least do what we paid for them to do.
If I move the Aria close to the main router or satellite? It reconnects and works again.

The scale was working fine with my former router while I was separating 2.4GhZ and 5GhZ SSIDs but with NetGear Orbi mesh, it systematically fails.

I'm having the same problem, and can't seem to resolve it. Even forcing my Orbi to 2.4 doesn't work. I spoke to a buddy who knows more about this, and he thinks my phone may be automatically switching to 5g as soon as the 5g. However, he has no explanation why turning off 5g and leaving it off wouldn't fix the problem. When you google the issue, it is common, not just with the Orbi mesh on the Aria scale, but many different mesh networks on different 2.4 only devices.
I haven't called any tech support because it appears tech support isn't helpful either.
Hopefully a solution will be found soon.
So my buddy was bothered by my issue and gave me instructions that appear to have worked.
Go into ORBI GUI interface, Advanced, Advanced set-up, wireless settings, and uncheck Broadcast SSID
Go to your phone/device and forget your network.
Go back and join the network again. Since SSID is no longer being broadcast, you need to enter your SSID and password manually.
Put Aira scale into setup mode, and follow instructions. When you get to the point of joining your network, you must again manually input your SSID and password.
After the scale joins the network, go back to your ORBI GUI, and re-click Broadcast SSID.
Remember, it takes a few moments for your router to reboot, so don't panic if you don't see your network in the beginning.
This seems to have worked for me, I hope it works long-term. We shall see.

Hi there,
Realise this is a good month old, just wondering how you go one with this. I've not been able to use the scales since I replaced my router last year and as you say it appears to be a larger issue with dual band routers.
I followed the instructions here and low and behold it actually connected to the WIFI, however when I tried to user the scales I still got the ERR after stepping off.
Did you experience that issue?
Regards
Jay

I don't know what fitbit or Aria do, they don't solve problems with their products. I quit using Fitbits and just trashed an Aria scale. I will never purchase anything that has to do with Fitbit. I purchased a scale that does more and only cost me $20 and it works perfectly.
