Blinking scale when not being used

My scale was blinking when I walked into the bathroom this morning. Does it start blinking when my Fitbit is in range or was it blinking and draining the battery all night? I just set it up last night.

@stewri76 Welcome to our Fitbit Community! Seems odd that your Aria scale blinks all of a sudden even if you don't step on it. In order to correct this issue, please try the following: take out the batteries and clean the contacts with a cotton swab and a little bit of alcohol in order to remove any dust.

After this, put the batteries back in and monitor your scale during the next 24 hours and see if the issue doesn't happen again.
