Exclamation mark on Aria 2

My Aria 2 has not worked since I replaced the batteries a couple of months ago. I have tried taking out the batteries, put in new ones, etc multiple times, as the troubleshooting guide says. It is possibly a hardware failure, supposedly. In this forum it seems that little can be done without contacting Fitbit support. For those of you who have done this, what was the solution from support? 

 

My Aria 2 was bought earlier this year, and I am NOT happy about this and the fact that I have to spend a lot of time trying to solve this and even more time contacting people on the other side of the world (I'm in Norway) for a problem that a lot of customers seem to be having.

 

I have also tried the cotton swab with alcohol tip, nothing happens.

Since you have already tried removing & reinstalling the batteries, as well as cleaning the contacts, you probably need to contact Fitbit Support.

Hi, did you ever manage to resolve this problem as my scales have stopped working, I thought the batteries were low with the exclamation  sign showing on the screen of the scales, but I've changed them and it's still not working.

 

I've deleted the scales on my app and tried to re add, but how it cannot fix the scales and link to them.

 

Any one any ideas as I spent quite a lot of money on these scales.
