Thanks for your question. The Aria 2 measures body mass using bioimpedance analysis, which sends a small electric signal through the body. For this reason, we don't recommend to use it if you have an implanted medical device such as a pacemaker. Please consult with your doctor if you have any questions about using this device. More details can be found in the Aria 2 User Manual.
