Re-pairing with new Fitbit

I got a new Fitbit and the Aria won’t recognize it. The app keeps asking me to set up new Fitbit when I weigh in but then tells me I already have it set up.

A couple of issues/questions:

I wonder if you really mean Aria.  That is the original Fitbit scale.  The only scale sold now is the Aria Air.

In either case, I don't know why it would care about your new tracker because the Aria and Aria 2 sync to the app via wifi; I don't think they would even require a tracker.  The Aria Air syncs to the phone app via bluetooth, again not sure but doubt even requiring a tracker.

My guess, and it is just a guess, is that there was some other problem with setting up your new Fitbit that just happens to get set off when you weigh in.   Do you seem to able to do all other functions with new Fitbit other than weigh in?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
