Hi everyone, I'm a new fitbit user. I purchased a versa & the aria2 scales. Can't say I have had much success with either which is disappointing considering all the money I have out laid. My Versa records every movement as a step. Laying in bed the other morning playing on my phone & watching tv I clocked up 823 steps, yay go me!! I tried to log food & it said 4 nine grain vita wear biscuits with ham was 2000 in. My daily intake goal is around 5-6000. If the food log is correct, well I'm going to be very hungry.
Just tried to set up my scales. HD to do a hot spot from my ph to connect which is fine but all I get is two feet that look like they are walking backwards or something then error & they show an icon that is going to sleep. Any advise anyone. I'm trying to make better lifestyle choices & set up a system that keeps me accountable.

About the feet walking back on your scale, that is Aria telling you to step of. It happened to me as well when setting up the scale. Very confusing as I thought it was trying to tell me to reposition my self or something like that. I also got the error 1. Just way yourself 5-times, stepping of when you see the feet going backwards and eventually everything will work. At least it did for me. Good luck

The fitbit will track steps if you are moving your wrist or body consistently, so it seems weird that you would get steps while laying in bed. Were you petting an animal or anything?
The food log entries that you see when you search for food is from what other users have entered, so the calories could be different from what you're eating. You can manually input your own calories if you know what they are.
The feet on the scale are telling you to get off the scale. The apple/tomato icon is your user icon, which can be changed in your settings if you want something else. It's so if there are multiple users using the scale, each user has a different icon. Support says to weigh yourself 5 times in a row in order to calibrate the scale properly..
Hopefully you have had better luck now that's it's been a few days!
