That message shows the very installed on the device, but it doesn't give me the information of the latest version.
For example, the firmware could be outdated but I won't know without know what the latest version number to compare .
Also usually you can find a list of versions and change logs online, but I can't find such information online fitbit website .

@xRyan, if there is a firmware update it will be posted on this forum, and it will probably be pinned at the top of the page. There is currently only one version for the Aria 2.

@USAF-Larry Mine is 23.25.4.0. Just got it yesterday. And i couldn't get it to work with my router. Very disappointing. There are many others experiencing the same issue. Not sure why you're releasing a half-baked product without thorough testing.

@Earthcrosser Sorry to hear that you are having trouble getting the scale to work with your router. When I have had trouble with a device, I have gotten help by contacting Support.
Yes, you do have the current firmware. This thread was started in 2018 and the firmware version mentioned was the current version.

@LZeeW I tried everything that I can think of. I even tried to connect my old router (Apple Extreme) and my original Aria was able to connect on the first setup (i haven't used it since 2017 because I've been using a different router, LinkSys WRT-3200ACM, where it doesn't have the B standard which Aria requires). Aria 2 works on the N standard which my LinkSys router has (on the 2.4GHz band). Still it failed. Says it was able to connect successfully but won't sync afterwards (just like the others are experiencing). That Aria 2 was an utter failure. I'm back to using the Aria 1 and regretted buying the Aria 2. It's back on the box and will be for sale. Maybe it will work somewhere else (or maybe not). Waste of time and money.

@Earthcrosser It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry for the late response. However, I'd like to follow up and would like to know a few details that will help me to assist you accordingly:
- Does your Aria 2 show any error message when it tries to connect to your network?
- How many characters does your WiFi password contain?
Thank you so much for your help my friend @LZeeW!
Looking forward to your response!

it uses an older type of wifi. if your router is set to use n or new only then it won't work. I think b is the correct one for it

@Tytan You are correct my friend! The Aria scale connects with routers that run the protocol 802.11b or mixed mode (b,g,n) only.
See you around!

Is 23.27.2.0 the latest firmware as of Jan 11, 2020?
just replaced an aria with an aria2 ordered from Amazon. Scale wouldn’t turn on without removing and reseating batteries. Not sure if the firmware is current since I can’t find the current firmware level on the FitBit web site. Was surprised the scale uses ancient 802.11b WiFi. The original aria was getting flakey turning on and saying step off when no one was standing on the scale. I miss having initials as the person identifier. The icons are crude.

@AriaUser2, I'm sorry for the late response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community. Regarding the firmware update of your Aria 2, my friend @LZeeW is correct.
I would like to follow up and would like to know if your Aria 2 is still unable to turn on.
In the meantime, try cleaning the contacts of your scale (where the batteries are placed) with a cotton swab and a little bit of alcohol. After this, try a new set of batteries and see if it turns on.
Keep me posted on the outcome.
