I have a blaze with an account set up. My wife has an alta. How do I set up an account for her on the same computer?

There is no problem at all doing that. She will need to have her own Fitbit account with her own email address, so the first thing for you to do is to log out of your Fitbit account, then re-open the Fitbit app and instead of choosing "log in" choose "join Fitbit". You can follow instructions from there. Hopefully it should all be clear, but post again, of curse, if you have any difficulties.
Going forward, remember that if you use the Windows 10 app, each one of you will have to log out of your account before the other one can log in and sync. An alternative method that some have suggested is to use the web based program (rather than the app) and each one of you use a different browser.
I hope this helps. Welcome to the forums.

I don't know if the option still exists, but in the win 10 app there use to be a mode setting called connect. This setting told the app to sync any tracker it might see, no matter what account it is to.
