A reflection on using Blaze

So today I am just going to go out for a run. The Blaze would not connect for music control on my Samsung S5. So I restarted the Bluetooth on my phone. This then controlled music. But then when I wanted to start my run it would not find the phone, despite being visable and connected on the phone's Bluetooth menu. So I went to the Fitbit app and it sync'd. Also telling me there's a firmware update. I tested the running mode connects. It does. Great, ready for my run. But now the music control does not work. So I'm thinking to do the firmware update should be sensible.

I'm writing this as I wait for my watch to update in order to play some music and track my run. The progress bar has almost completed. I do get struck by a sense of the ridiculous; the inconvenience afforded by this add-on item to exercise that has a less than seamless integration.

With Android devices you need 2 bluetooth connections.  The regular one that shows in your bluetooth settings after you have enabled notifications and then "classic" to control the music.
